Notes
!!! WARNING !!! This recording has some issues.
1. My mic stand is only 8' high and the crowd was singing along, screaming at the top of their lungs and gererally having a good ole time. It's all there on the recording.
2. The encores got marred by some mysterious electronic noise that started half way through Unbroken Chain and lasts through Brokedown. I didn't post them.
3. Some poor sucker fell like a ton of bricks right next to my equipment during Uncle John's Band knocking my mic stand ajar. It takes about half a minute before I get my mics back in line and pointing back at the stage. My equipment is OK and the poor sucker eventually got up and walked away so I guess he was OK (although I really wanted to smack him). Mic stand gets hit at 5:05 and for 30 seconds sound is askew.
I'm posting this anyway because it's 85% listenable, people are jonesin', and the other 2 dozen tapers with their 50' mic stands are taking their sweet time posting their versions. Maybe they have jobs and lives- something I severely lack right now.

Subject: Really Fine Recording
I usually complain that AUD's don't have enough bass, but this one features adequate low end. Good mics. This recording has captured the hall ambience with definition. Sweet.
After listening to this show I was pleased with the overall quality of play. I like how they made their transitions from song to song. I also liked all the new arrangements. I like the lady singing, too. She adds presence. Keyboards are finally prominent, but not overbearing. They were almost non-existent at Berkeley.
My initial impression upon hearing 10 minutes of this was that this sounds very similar to me of how "the Dead" sounded during their 2003 tour. One Guitar sounds a lot like Jimmy Herring.
Drummer Molo is a monster. He really keeps them coming.
I attended the Sep 23 show at the Berkeley Greek and this show is far superior. I imagine if this lineup stayed together for a year, or so, they could possibly accomplish great things.
This show is competently played, has a rocking setlist with a lot of good choices, and features some nice soloing by all. The sound is excellent.
